It was the winter of 2023. I had just wrapped up my HS pretest exams, feeling the usual relief after weeks of studying. The very morning of my final exam, my cousin brother Tanmay, who also happened to be my musical mentor called me up. “Get ready,” he said. “We’ve got a concert next week. You’re gonna be on the keyboard.”
At first, I brushed it off casually, thinking it was just another small gig. But later that night, right after finishing my last exam, I walked into the practice studio and that’s when reality hit me. This wasn’t just some small event. It was a massive concert, organized by Kurkure Bangladesh. And the lineup? Mind-blowing. We were set to share the stage with Maksood O’Dhaka and Mila. My jaw practically dropped. Maksudul Haque, the legendary vocalist of Maksood O’Dhaka, had always been one of my musical idols. To stand on the same stage as him felt like a dream. And Mila? I had grown up listening to her tracks on repeat—she was practically the soundtrack of my childhood.
The concert night was electric. The lights, the crowd, the adrenaline it all felt surreal. I wasn’t just playing keys; I was living a moment I’d never forget. Along the way, I met incredible musicians, made new friends, and soaked in every bit of the experience. That night wasn’t just about performing. It was about stepping into a bigger world, realizing how far music could take me, and feeling the rush of being part of something bigger than myself.
